Trainer Miguel Pizana and jockey Jorge Javier Garcia link up on a horse who owns a 33% career win rate and, more importantly, the clearest class edge in this trial. When your rating is more than five points clear of the second-best horse, you build your ticket around it.
Sharpest Image (6) is a serious contender at 7/2 with an 84.55 rating — only a few ticks behind the favorite. Trainer Ramiro Aboytes-Suarez has this horse in good form, and Angel A. Fierro rides. Carry On Jess (2) is our top selection despite a 0% career win rate, because the TrackWiz rating of 78.96 is the highest in the field and the morning line of 6/1 gives you real value for the best figure in the race. Trainer David Bustamante and jockey Randy Edison Jr. form a sharp combination, and in a trial with no dominant speed horse at a short price, this is precisely the kind of play that pays. The numbers say this horse is ready to graduate.
Lm Jess a Lady (8) is an interesting overlay at 10/1 — her 74.94 rating is second in the field but she's priced like a long shot, which means the morning-line makers don't fully respect her.
