Trainer Derek S. Ryan doubles up with two entries in this maiden claimer at 5.5 furlongs, and his top horse Pining draws the rail with solid ratings separation — but Of Course and Cosmic Angel keep this from being a foregone conclusion.
Pining tops the TrackWiz ratings in this field at 57.5 and carries the best average speed of any horse in the race at 55 — a meaningful edge at a sprint distance where early pace matters. Derek S.
