Lone Star Park is firing up a 10-race card on Friday, July 3rd, and the weather is doing absolutely nothing to help the horses — or the bettors standing in the sun. We're looking at clear skies and a brutal 96°F on the thermometer, which means heat management, post position, and pace scenario are going to matter even more than usual today.

The card is a solid mix of Maiden Special Weights, Claiming races, and a handful of Allowance spots that should draw some quality horses looking to punch their tickets heading into the holiday weekend. We've got action on both the dirt and turf, with three turf sprints on the afternoon that could provide some nice pace dynamics and value opportunities.
