Parx Racing Picks & Predictions — June 1, 2026

9 racesParx Racing

Happy June, Parx fans. We're kicking off the new month with a nine-race all-dirt card under clear skies and a comfortable 74°F — about as good as conditions get at Parx in early summer. No weather excuses today, no sloppy footing to hide behind. It's a clean, fast track, and the horses that belong on top should show it.

The card is a classic Parx mix: a pair of Starter Optional Claimers, three straight Claiming races, a couple of Maiden events, and a one-mile route tucked into the back half to keep the pace scenario crowd busy. There's something here for every kind of bettor, from a straightforward chalk play in Race 1 to a legitimate longshot angle worth exploring deeper in the card.

TrackWiz has full ratings across all nine races today. The first three are on the house — dive in. Races 4 through 9 are available to subscribers, and trust us, the back half of this card is where the real work pays off.

Best Bets

Race 1

Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt

A top-heavy claiming sprint where the morning line favorite gets challenged by a horse with a big edge in TrackWiz ratings — and a 25% career win rate that screams class in this field.

win4Miss TifeyeML 2/1

Miss Tifeye (No. 4) tops our TrackWiz ratings at 88.54, a clear step above the rest of this field, and draws the morning line favoritism at 2/1 for good reason. Trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero has her positioned well for the 6.5-furlong dirt sprint, and jockey Kleiner A. Mejias gets the call on what should be the most talented horse in here. Her average speed figure of 53 leads the top tier, and when your rating separates from the field by this margin, that's the horse you build your ticket around.

place5OurdaydreamingmissML 5/2

Ourdaydreamingmiss (No. 5) brings a 25% career win rate — best in the field by a wide margin — and a TrackWiz rating of 82.19 that makes her a legitimate contender, not just a place filler. Francisco Martinez rides for the Louis C. Linder, Jr. barn, and at 5/2 on the morning line she may not offer huge value to win, but she profiles as the most likely horse to chase down Miss Tifeye if anything goes sideways.

show3Critical MagicML 4/1

Critical Magic (No. 3) checks in at 78.39 in our ratings — third-best in the field — and represents the Jose M. Santaella-Calderon barn alongside stablemate Sister Marjorie. At 4/1 on the morning line, she offers some exotic value in trifectas and exactas. Luis M. Ocasio rides, and the 6.5-furlong distance suits horses with a bit of speed-to-stamina range.

Race 2

Maiden Special Weight · 6 fur · Dirt

Wide-open maiden sprint that comes down to a battle between the morning line chalk and a TrackWiz rating standout — with a potential longshot thrown in for those who like to dig deeper.

win5Slash AlleyML 3/1

Slash Alley (No. 5) is our top-rated horse in this maiden special weight at 82.82, a full 23 points clear of the morning line favorite. Trainer Louis C. Linder, Jr. puts the hot-stick Paco Lopez aboard, which is a combo worth noting — Lopez doesn't take just any mount. In a field where all horses are winless, the edge goes to the one with the highest speed rating and the shrewdest connections.

place4ThisgirlsgotchillML 8/5

Thisgirlsgotchill (No. 4) is the 8/5 morning line choice for trainer Kathleen A. Demasi, and her average speed figure of 53 ties for the field lead. Silvestre Gonzalez gets the ride on what should be a pace-pressing type. She's clearly the public's pick, and that support likely means she'll be hard to leave out of your tickets even if Slash Alley is our top selection.

show3Ms PeppadewML 10/1

Ms Peppadew (No. 3) is an interesting dart throw at 10/1 on the morning line with a TrackWiz rating of 57.11 — third-best in the field among horses that have shown any speed numbers. Francisco Martinez rides for Howard R. Brown, Jr., and at double-digit odds she offers solid trifecta value if the two favorites run into any traffic trouble in the first turn.

Race 3

Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt

Two horses with nearly identical elite ratings figure to dominate this claiming sprint, setting up a fascinating pace duel between the rail post and the inside stalker — the rest of the field looks like supporting cast.

win1Seven P R CML 2/1

Seven P R C (No. 1) leads our TrackWiz ratings at 84.84 and draws the coveted rail in a 6.5-furlong sprint at Parx. Paco Lopez pilots for the Louis C. Linder, Jr. barn, and this combo has the tools to control or sit just off the pace. At 2/1 on the morning line, she's not a price play, but the rating edge and jockey quality justify the short number.

place2Always in PlayML 5/1

Always in Play (No. 2) is the sneaky value angle here — rated 84.17 by TrackWiz, essentially a dead-heat with the top pick, yet she's sitting at 5/1 on the morning line. Kendry Rivera rides for Jose M. Santaella-Calderon, who is active on today's card, and the 7% career win rate may undersell how competitive she's been. If Seven P R C gets pressured early, Always in Play is set up perfectly to mow them down in the stretch.

show5American PeachesML 4/1

American Peaches (No. 5) rates third in the field at 74.53 and brings some legitimacy at 4/1 on the morning line. Andy Hernandez rides for Timothy J. Smylie, and the average speed figure of 52 is consistent with the pace of this race. She's not likely to beat the top two, but she's a solid show horse in exacta/trifecta combos if the race sets up as a speed duel up front.

Our three free races today are all dirt sprints — 6 furlongs or 6½ furlongs — and they share a common thread: pace is going to matter. On a clear, fast Parx surface, early speed has historically held up well, and all three of our top picks project favorably from a pace-scenario standpoint. Miss Tifeye opens the card in Race 1 as our top-rated horse of the day at 88.54, posted at a very fair 2/1 morning line in a Claiming sprint. In Race 2, Slash Alley enters a Maiden Special Weight at 3/1 — that's a price worth noting for a horse carrying our second-highest free-race rating of 82.82. And in Race 3, Seven P R C comes back at 2/1 in another Claiming 6½-furlong test, rated at 84.84.

The connecting angle across all three: horses that can establish position early without burning themselves out will be in the best shape late. Watch the first call fractions closely — on a day like today, a horse that gets away cleanly and settles just off the pace could be the move in each of these sprints. Slash Alley at 3/1 in the maiden race is the play that catches our eye as a potential value spot among the three free picks.
