Parx Racing Picks & Predictions — May 27, 2026
Happy Wednesday at Parx Racing. We've got a full 9-race card going to post under cloudy skies and mild 75°F temps — the kind of weather that keeps the dirt playing honest and doesn't throw any curveballs at your tickets.
All nine races are on the main track, and it's a heavy claiming day with one allowance mixed in late (Race 8). That means we're deep in class-drop and pace-scenario territory — exactly the conditions where TrackWiz analysis earns its keep. The top-rated horse on the card checks in at 89.71, and that number shows up twice — in Race 3 and Race 4. Pay attention.
Three races are free to all readers today. The other six are available to TrackWiz subscribers with full pace projections, trainer angles, and exotic breakdowns. Let's get into it.
Best Bets
Race 1
Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt
A wide-open claiming sprint where the top two on the TrackWiz ratings sheet separate themselves from the field — but the morning line suggests the public will make this a competitive betting race.
Vix (No. 4) earns the top TrackWiz rating in this field at 87.08 and comes in as the 3/1 morning line favorite for good reason. Trainer Jacinto Solis also saddles Munyhungry in this same race, and having two horses in the gate suggests connections know this is a winnable spot. Jockey Andy Hernandez gets the call, and with an average speed figure of 52 that's in line with the field, Vix's edge appears to be overall consistency and form quality over her rivals.
Battle Anthem (No. 1) sits just behind Vix on the ratings sheet at 83.02 and actually leads the field in average speed at 54 — the best raw number in the race. Trainer Alfredo Velazquez puts Dalila A. Rivera up, and at 7/2 on the morning line, this one has the talent to win outright if Vix stumbles. Include Battle Anthem on top in exactas — don't just box these two.
Munyhungry (No. 9) holds a 73.78 TrackWiz rating and draws the 9/2 morning line, representing solid value in the exotics. Trainer Jacinto Solis runs this horse alongside stablemate Vix, and a barn that enters two in a claimer typically has confidence in at least one firing well. At the price, Munyhungry makes a logical show bet and a worthwhile trifecta inclusion.
Race 2
Claiming · 6 fur · Dirt
The morning line favorite Angel of Hope carries the lowest TrackWiz rating among the logical contenders, setting up an upset-friendly pace scenario where the top-rated horses are both available at generous prices.
Leilauni Sue (No. 1) is our top-rated horse at 84.17 yet gets sent off at 5/1 on the morning line — that's a gap worth exploiting. She leads all runners with a 15% career win rate, the best in the field, and Dalila A. Rivera has the rail post to work with. The combination of top rating, best win percentage, and a fair price makes Leilauni Sue a strong win best bet.
Joyful Joyce (No. 4) checks in with a 79.29 TrackWiz rating and a 11% career win rate, matching Tammy's Cruiser in wins but edging her on overall form metrics. Trainer Michael V. Pino has a capable runner here, and at 4/1 on the morning line, Joyful Joyce profiles as a legitimate threat to steal the win while offering decent place value. She's worth a spot on top in exactas if you're playing against the morning line chalk.
Tammy's Cruiser (No. 2) rounds out our top three at 77.48 on the TrackWiz scale, and trainer Jamie Ness is one of Parx's more reliable conditioners. An 11% career win rate gives her a consistent floor, and Mychel Sanchez — one of the busiest and most effective riders in this meet — gets the mount. At 7/2, she's not a huge price but she's a sensible show bet and a trifecta anchor.
Race 3
Maiden Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt
The Fridge comes in as a heavy 6/5 morning line favorite in this maiden claimer, but in a field where nobody has won before, the real question is whether the price is worth it or if there's a price play lurking underneath.
The Fridge (No. 6) is the standout on paper — a 89.71 TrackWiz rating is the top mark in the field by a wide margin and trainer Michael V. Pino puts Mychel Sanchez up, the meet's premier jockey. An average speed figure of 52 is modest but competitive here, and in a wide-open maiden claimer with no prior winners, The Fridge's overall form profile simply outclasses this group. Bet to win, but accept the short price as the cost of doing business.
Warheaded (No. 4) is the clear second choice on the TrackWiz sheet at 69.74, nearly 20 points behind The Fridge but well ahead of the rest. Trainer Jacinto Solis sends this one out with a 53 average speed figure — tied for the best among the secondary horses — and Joezer Rangel has the mount at a fair 4/1. If The Fridge gets shuffled back or doesn't fire, Warheaded is the most likely alternative in this thin field.
Craigh Na Dun (No. 3) rates third at 50.48 with a 53 average speed figure that matches Warheaded, and trainer Alan Bedard gets Victor Carrero in the irons. At 9/2 on the morning line, this one offers genuine trifecta value as the third wheel behind two more highly rated runners. In a maiden field where upsets happen regularly, Craigh Na Dun is worth a spot underneath.
Our three free plays today span the first three races — a nice warm-up stretch to kick off the card. Race 1 features Vix at 3/1 on the morning line, offering what we see as genuine value at that price for a 6½-furlong dirt sprint. Race 2 shifts to a flat 6 furlongs where Leilauni Sue opens as a 5/1 shot — one of the more intriguing prices on the early card given her TrackWiz rating of 84.17. Then comes the headliner of the free tier: The Fridge in the Race 3 maiden claimer, boasting the day's co-top rating of 89.71 at a 6/5 morning line. In maiden claiming company, a horse rated that highly at a short price is typically there for a reason — and our numbers back up what the morning line is already telling you.
The dirt surface looks straightforward today with no precipitation in the forecast, so expect pace to be a factor in all three sprints. Front-runners and pressers have been performing well at Parx in these conditions, and that's a thread that runs through all three of our free selections.
