With a 23% career win rate and an average speed figure of 53, he's a consistent performer who should be comfortable at this distance on the turf. Jockey Alexander Chavez gets the call, and with that kind of ratings edge, this is the horse to beat in Race 1.
Hotline Blink (#12) sits second in our ratings at 78.07 and comes in at 5/1 on the morning line — fair value for a horse this far up the board. Trainer Christi Lynn Esposito's runner posts an average speed figure of 57, the best raw number in the field, suggesting she has the raw ability to fire here. Bailey Weatherly gets the mount and should have this filly rolling in the stretch.
Stomping Moon (#5) rates third in our model at 68.54 and offers a sneaky 8/1 morning line for exotics players. Trainer Jay P. Bernardini is a familiar name at Mountaineer and has another runner in this race, which speaks to stable confidence. At 53 on average speed and a 16% career win rate, Stomping Moon is a solid underneath horse to round out trifecta combinations.

A sprawling 14-horse turf claimer at seven furlongs with a clear top three in the ratings but a massive spread between the contenders and the tail of the field — the trifecta could get interesting if any of the mid-pack longshots sneak in.
Imprudent (#4) is the top-rated horse in this field at 88.54 and lines up as the 2/1 morning line favorite — that's a fair price for the class of the race. Trainer Nestor R. Rivera has Luis Alberto Batista in the irons, a reliable combination at this level. With a 20% career win rate and a rating that clears the field by nearly nine points, Imprudent looks like the horse that needs to be beaten in this one.
Intel Agent (#9) is a fascinating play at 6/1 morning line — ranked third in our ratings at 79.92 but buried in the odds, likely because of a modest 3% career win rate. That low win percentage is worth noting, but our model factors in more than just wins, and this horse's overall profile is strong. Trainer Virginia Demczyk and jockey Ricardo Barrios could land a nice price here if Intel Agent runs to his rating.
Dreamwifedreamlife (#3) comes in at 9/2 with a solid 78.20 rating and a 10% career win rate for trainer Eric R. Reed. Bailey Weatherly gets the mount on a horse whose speed average of 51 is consistent with the pace in this race. She's a logical show finisher who should be included in exotics given her competitive rating and fair morning line price.

A nine-horse dirt claimer going 1 1/16 miles features a clear top choice, but three horses are bunched closely enough in the ratings to make the exacta picture genuinely competitive.
Semper Anticus (#8) is the standout here — an 87.08 rating that sits well clear of the field and a 3/1 morning line that represents solid fair-value on the top selection. Trainer Tina Ramgeet saddles a horse with an 18% career win rate, which is among the better marks in this field. Ricardo Barrios handles the riding duties, and with the best combination of rating and consistency, Semper Anticus is our top selection in Race 3.
Gemstone Warrior (#4) rates second in our model at 71.47 and goes to the gate at 5/1 — a reasonable overlay. Luis Alberto Batista, one of the busier riders at this meet, picks up the mount for trainer Randy Bayley. The 52 average speed figure is right in range for this class of race, and Gemstone Warrior projects as the most likely horse to challenge Semper Anticus for the exacta slot.
Wings of God (#3) is the value piece in the exotics at 8/1 morning line, carrying a 69.41 rating — just a tick below Gemstone Warrior. Trainer Jami C. Poole sends out Elijah Greenidge at 53 average speed, and with a 10% career win rate over a presumably substantial number of starts, there's enough here to justify including her in trifecta tickets. Don't overlook her at that price.
The first three races give casual bettors a solid runway to get into the card. Races 1 and 2 are both 7-furlong turf sprints — that consistency matters, because pace and surface form translate cleanly from one to the next. Keep an eye on how the turf is playing early; if horses with pace to the outside are getting up or fading, that'll tell you something useful heading into the rest of the day. Small Field opened at 5/2 in Race 1 while Imprudent sits as the morning-line favorite at 2/1 in Race 2 — both horses carry TrackWiz ratings in the upper 80s, which gives us real confidence in their chances.
Race 3 shifts everything over to the dirt at a mile and a sixteenth, and Semper Anticus at 3/1 on the morning line is our top pick with an 87.08 rating. A route on the dirt after the turf sprints is a natural pivot point in the card, and Semper Anticus looks well-suited to the longer trip. These three free races offer a strong foundation — but there's plenty more card left to play.
