Lethbridge RMTC Picks & Predictions — September 13, 2026
Welcome to Lethbridge RMTC on September 13th — a tight six-race Sunday card that punches well above its weight in terms of betting interest. Temperatures are sitting at a cool 56°F under cloudy skies, and while the official surface is listed as dirt, that kind of overcast, mild weather in southern Alberta can keep the track playing consistently all afternoon. No excuses for the runners today.
The card opens with a pair of allowance sprints before transitioning into a claiming double and then two Starter Optional Claiming routes to close things out. It's a well-structured afternoon that builds nicely from the sprint game into the longer 7-furlong tests — and TrackWiz analysis has spotted plays worth watching at both ends of the odds board.

Race 1
Allowance · 6 fur · Dirt
A heavily tilted opener where the morning line tells the whole story — Bizzy Lizzy comes in as a prohibitive 1/2 favorite, and the rest of the field is fighting for scraps.
Bizzy Lizzy is the standout of this card's opening race by a wide margin, carrying a TrackWiz rating of 90 — more than six points clear of her nearest rival. She's the only horse in the field with an average speed figure on record (55), giving her a measurable edge in a race where most rivals are running on unknown quantities. Trainer Jaqueline Smith puts her in with jockey Larris Allen, a combination that should have this mare sitting comfortably on or near the pace in a 6-furlong dirt allowance. At 1/2 on the morning line, the price isn't there, but the confidence is — she's the bet-down favorite for a reason.
Goldie Socks draws the 5-post at 2/1 on the morning line and backs it up with a TrackWiz rating of 83.93, second-best in the field. Andre Powell gets the call for trainer Krista A. Shearer, and this filly looks like the clearest price to finish in the exacta behind the heavy favorite. With career win percentage sitting at 8%, she's more of a placing specialist than a winner, which is exactly why the place slot makes sense here.
Oops (No. 4) is an interesting inclusion at 3/1 with a rating of 52.47 — not flashy, but trainer Colten Mead has shown a knack for squeezing competitive efforts out of modest horses. The 4% career win rate suggests she rarely gets to the winner's circle, but in a short field where the top two are well above the rest, she has a legitimate shot at the show spot. A useful exotic piece in the trifecta underneath.
Race 2
Allowance · 6 fur · Dirt
Snow Ghost tops the TrackWiz ratings convincingly, but Standard Pressure's 33% career win rate makes this a two-horse race with genuine intrigue at the top of the card.
Snow Ghost lands at the top of our ratings for Race 2 with an 86.35 score, and the 7/2 morning line actually offers some value given how far ahead she is of the field on paper. The 23% career win percentage is the best in this race by a meaningful margin, and trainer Lyle W. Magnuson puts Larris Allen aboard — the same rider who has the top pick in Race 1. In a 6-furlong dirt allowance, Snow Ghost looks like she has the tools to dictate or sit close to whatever pace sets up, and that versatility is a major asset.
Standard Pressure is the most accomplished winner in this field percentage-wise, boasting a 33% career win rate that stands alone in this group. She carries an average speed figure of 54 and a TrackWiz rating of 78.77, and trainer Bill C. Schmitt has her well-placed at 2/1. Andre Powell is a savvy booking for a horse that could press the pace — if Snow Ghost stumbles or gets caught in traffic, Standard Pressure is the one most likely to clean up.
McKenna Moon opens at 3/1 with a rating of 54.32 and an 18% career win percentage — respectable enough to pop up in the show spot in a race that doesn't have overwhelming depth beyond the top two. Trainer Jocelyn L. Giesbrecht is no stranger to placing horses in competitive spots, and Orlando Foster takes the mount. She's the logical third-place finisher for trifecta purposes if the top pair runs as expected.
Race 3
Claiming · 5 1/2 fur · Dirt
This claiming sprint sets up as a duel between two short-priced favorites — Countess Cat and Hazael — while the rest of the field looks outgunned at 5-and-a-half furlongs.
Countess Cat is our top-rated horse in Race 3, carrying a 89.71 TrackWiz score and a 26% career win percentage that ties for the field's best. Andre Powell has the mount for trainer Chandra Clarke, and at 6/5 on the morning line, the market agrees she's the one to beat. In a short-distance claiming race, gate speed and class matter, and Countess Cat checks both boxes — she's the type who can put rivals away early and not look back.
Hazael also posts a 26% career win rate and comes in with a TrackWiz rating of 76.79, making him the second-most credentialed horse in the field. The 8/5 morning line puts him firmly in the mix, and trainer Colten Mead has Orlando Foster in the saddle — a sharp rider-trainer combo. With an average speed figure of 52 on record, Hazael has shown he can produce competitive numbers at this distance, making the place spot a solid landing spot if Countess Cat gets the edge in the stretch.
Silver Sign is the value inclusion here at 6/1, with a rating of 54.38 and a 13% career win rate. Both trainer Justin P. Weaselhead entrants are in this race, but Silver Sign with Garfield Gordon gets our nod for the show spot over Miss Charge It. At 6/1, he's live enough in the exotics to warrant a small inclusion in the trifecta, especially if the two favorites put on a pace duel and set the table for a closer.
The first three races are open to all TrackWiz readers, and they give us a clear theme to work with: dirt sprints where early pace and class consistency matter most. Bizzy Lizzy opens the day as a dominant 1/2 morning-line chalk in Race 1 — that kind of price tells you the connections feel they have a significant edge, and our rating of 90 backs that confidence up. She's the anchor of the free card. Race 2 flips the script with Snow Ghost offering real value at 7/2, a top rating of 86.35, and the kind of pace scenario that suits a come-from-behind type on a track that could be playing fair all day. Then in Race 3, Countess Cat steps into the claiming ranks at 6/5 with a 89.71 rating — a short price, yes, but the numbers justify the chalk.
Across these three free races, the consistent thread in our analysis is pace. The 6-furlong distance in Races 1 and 2 and the 5½-furlong sprint in Race 3 all set up as contested early, which tends to benefit horses that can rate just off the lead rather than front-runners who might get caught late. Keep that angle in mind as the day unfolds.
