Clear skies, 62°F, and a firm turf strip — it's about as good as a late-October afternoon at Woodbine gets. With the Thoroughbred meet winding toward its close, today's 10-race card has a little bit of everything: maiden specials, a stakes showdown on the grass, and a pair of dirt sprints that should draw sharp money from the jump.
Seven of the ten races run on turf, so if you've been tracking grass form and pace scenarios this fall, today is your day to put it to work. The feature is Race 9, a Stakes at 7½ furlongs on the turf — and our top-rated pick for the entire card, Laskay (88.54 TrackWiz rating), lands in Race 8 on the dirt. That kind of overlap between the feature race and a strong allowance undercard makes sequencing your multi-race wagers especially interesting.
Three races are fully open to all TrackWiz readers. The remaining seven are part of our premium full-card breakdown — details on unlocking those are at /pricing.

Race 1
Maiden Special Weight · 1 1/8 mi · Turf
A wide-open maiden field on the turf at 1 1/8 miles, but two Kevin Attard runners carry the class edge and dominate the ratings — making this feel more like a two-horse race with a price ticket lurking underneath.
No Hay Dos tops our TrackWiz ratings at 87.81 and draws into this field as the most analytically compelling runner despite sitting at 5/2 on the morning line. The Kevin Attard barn is always dangerous in maiden turf routes, and Pietro Moran is one of the stronger turf pilots in the Woodbine colony. With every horse in this field sitting at zero career wins, it comes down to raw potential scores — and No Hay Dos leads the field by a clear margin.
Stablemate Buium is the other Attard bullet in here, rated 82.46 and sent off at 9/5 as the public choice. Emma-Jayne Wilson gets the call, and she's as reliable as they come over Woodbine's turf course. The concern is whether Attard splits the vote between his two runners — but both figure to be involved at the wire, making Buium a logical place saver.
Toronto City at 8/1 is the most intriguing underneath piece, posting a TrackWiz rating of 70.79 — third-best in the field by a solid margin. Trainer Cleveland A. Gordon sends this one out with Ryan Munger up, and at a price, Toronto City adds real value to any exacta or trifecta construction. In a maiden race where finishing position can swing dramatically, having the third-ranked horse at 8/1 is an overlay worth exploiting.
