It's a beautiful Thursday at Thistledown — clear skies, 78°F, and a fast dirt strip that should reward horses with early speed all afternoon. The 7/2 morning line actually represents decent value given how much this horse stands out on our numbers. Star Weaver (No. 5) is a legitimate overlay at 10/1 with a TrackWiz rating of 71.14 — the second-best mark in the field. A career win percentage of 14% is modest, but the figure jump here is real, and Fernando Salazar Becerra is a capable pilot. If Harbour Bridge hits any traffic or gets stuck wide, Star Weaver is the most likely beneficiary.
Skibidi Rizz (No. 1) lands at 5/1 with a 64.87 rating and a 15% career win rate that matches several others in here. The rail post in a one-mile dirt race can be advantageous if Brandon Tapara is able to secure a comfortable stalking spot early. Include in your exotics as a hedge against the top two.

Five-and-a-half furlongs of Starter Optional Claiming action where the pace figures to be honest and the top of the morning line is bunched tight — value hides in the numbers.
Chess Not Checkers (No. 2) tops the TrackWiz ratings at 86.35 — a commanding number in this field — and carries a 19% career win percentage while posting an average speed figure of 54. Jose A. Bracho has been active in the Thistledown colony and this is a horse that figures prominently in the pace from what our analysis suggests. At 7/2, this is a horse you want on top of your tickets.
Absolute Miracle (No. 6) checks some important boxes: 22% career win rate, an average speed of 54, and a TrackWiz rating of 72.77 that puts her squarely in the mix. The 4/1 morning line is fair, and the Jefferson Skerrett/Jeffrey Skerrett combo — jockey and trainer sharing a surname is no coincidence, and stable connections often run sharp. She's the most natural place horse in here.
We'll Do It Live (No. 4) is the 2/1 morning line favorite, but our rating of 71.40 slots her third behind Chess Not Checkers and Absolute Miracle — meaning the favorite is beatable. Still, a 22% career win rate and a 54 speed figure mean she'll be competitive, making her a sensible show option or a key leg underneath if you're willing to go against the favorite on top.

Maiden Claiming over five-and-a-half furlongs where none of these have broken their maiden, but two horses stand well above the rest on our ratings — this race has a clear top two.
Guns and Ships (No. 5) carries the highest TrackWiz rating in the entire afternoon at 88.54, an eye-catching number in a maiden claiming field. Trainer Valerie K. Shanyfelt gets Luis Antonio Gonzalez in the irons, and the 2/1 price is manageable given this horse's dominance on our figures. In a field of maiden claimers where no horse has won, the edge in class and preparation matters enormously — Guns and Ships has it.
Enzito (No. 1) is the 8/5 morning line chalk and posts a solid 70.61 rating with a 53 speed figure — consistent with what wins these. The Jeffrey Skerrett trainer/Jefferson Skerrett jockey combination keeps showing up today, and that barn runs horses ready to fire. Even if Guns and Ships proves too good, Enzito looks like the safest place play on the card.
Gunn's Roar (No. 4) sits third in the ratings at 56.81 and shows a 52 average speed, which is respectable in a maiden field. Jose A. Bracho aboard for trainer Jeffrey A. Radosevich — a combo that has been active today — gives this one a competent pilot. At 3/1, the show price is modest, but Gunn's Roar fills out the exotic tickets nicely as a deeper-in-the-field finisher.
Three races are unlocked for everyone today, and they're a solid starting point. Harbour Bridge opens the card at a mile — the route distance at a claiming level often separates the pretenders from the horses who genuinely want to run all day, and Harbour Bridge profiles as one who does.
