Calorese (No. 3) sits third in TrackWiz ratings at 58.56 and is trained by Jeffrey A. Radosevich, who runs a strong barn at Thistledown. The 5% career win rate is low, but in an allowance context some horses take time to break through, and the rating suggests underlying ability. At 7/2 morning-line odds, he's a reasonable show ticket and a live exotic piece if the top two split early.

Sweet Vivian (No. 5) is the 8/5 morning-line choice and carries a TrackWiz rating of 64.33 — close enough to Isa Fortress that she'll be very tough in any exacta combination. David J. Haldar rides, and trainer Joseph M. Poole is comfortable with maiden routes. The pace-stalking or front-running profile that typically suits a betting favorite could set up a wire-to-wire effort if she breaks cleanly.
Midnite Kings Fate (No. 1) is the 2/1 morning-line co-favorite with a TrackWiz rating of 58.33 and an avg speed of 52. Trainer Richard J. Rettele, as noted, also runs Isa Fortress — but that dual-barn presence can mean both horses fire on the same day. Anthony Rodriguez gets the mount, and with inside post position on the rail at a mile, Midnite Kings Fate could get a ground-saving trip and sneak into the superfecta conversation at very manageable odds.
The first three races give us a nice cross-section of today's card. In Race 1, Lady Jasper (morning line 5/2, TrackWiz rating 87.81) tops our Claiming mile, and at that price she represents genuine value if she gets the right pace setup.
