Happy Halloween eve, Remington Park fans. Nine races are on the slate this Friday, and the card has a little bit of everything — maiden sprints, turf routes, claiming battles, and a trio of allowance tests that should draw sharp attention from serious bettors.
Conditions are about as cooperative as you'll get in late October in Oklahoma City: cloudy skies, 66°F, and no rain in the forecast to muddy things up. The dirt and turf surfaces are expected to be in solid shape, which should allow form to translate and speed figures to hold up across the card.
Whether you're here for a quick Friday afternoon play or you're building out a multi-race exotic ticket for the back half of the card, there's plenty to dig into. Three races are open to all readers, and our full nine-race breakdown — pace projections, exacta wheels, and all — is waiting for subscribers.

Close Call looks like the class of this 5 1/2-furlong claiming sprint, but a pair of 33% career winners lurking at big prices makes the exotics worth a closer look.
Close Call tops the TrackWiz ratings by a wide margin at 86.46 and backs it up with a 33% career win rate — one of the strongest win percentages in the field. His average speed figure of 56 ties for best in the race, and at 3/1 on the morning line he's not being asked to carry heavy chalk odds. Ramon Vazquez gets the call and the combination of a top jockey and a horse firing on all cylinders makes this our most confident selection on the card.
Pilot's Creed is the sneaky play here — he also carries a 33% career win rate yet opens at 12/1 on the morning line, which represents genuine overlay value. His average speed figure of 56 matches Close Call for best in the field, and Geovanni Franco is a capable pilot who can coax out a big effort. If the morning line holds anywhere near those odds, Pilot's Creed is a must-use in exactas and trifectas.
Nacho Bar (4) slots comfortably into the show spot with a TrackWiz rating of 69.40 and a 16% career win rate — solid for a claiming field at this level. His average speed of 55 is competitive, and trainer Travis Swan Murphy has him positioned at a reasonable 7/2 morning line. He's the kind of consistent dirt sprinter who finds his way into the money often enough to anchor your tickets.
