Remington Park Picks & Predictions — October 24, 2026
Remington Park is live on Saturday, October 24 with an 8-race card under cloudy skies and a comfortable 74°F. Conditions are about as cooperative as it gets this time of year in Oklahoma City — no rain in the forecast, mild temps, and plenty of racing to dig into.
The card mixes claiming races and allowance company across both dirt and turf, giving us a nice range of betting opportunities from sprint specialists to route runners. Three of those races are completely free to TrackWiz readers, and the full card is unlocked for subscribers.
The headline act is Race 7, an allowance sprint at 6 furlongs where Perfect Magic checks in as the morning line favorite at 8/5 and carries our highest rating on the card at 89.12. But there's value buried in earlier races too — including a longshot angle in Race 8 on the turf that premium members will want to see.
Best Bets
Race 1
Claiming · 1 mi · Dirt
A deep claiming mile on the dirt where two horses stand well above the rest on TrackWiz ratings — but a 40% career winner lurking at mid-odds keeps this from being a simple chalk play.
Tis Charming draws the eye immediately with a TrackWiz rating of 86.35 — the highest in the field by a comfortable margin among the top contenders. Trainer Steven Asmussen is one of the most accomplished conditioners in the country, and having his son Erik Asmussen in the irons adds a trusted in-house connection that can't be ignored. Sitting at 7/2 on the morning line, this horse represents solid value for the top-rated horse in the race. The combination of a strong rating and a top barn makes Tis Charming our best bet to lead the trifecta.
Twelve Volt rates second in the field at 84.51 and comes in at 4/1 morning line — which means you're getting near-even value on a horse whose numbers suggest it belongs right at the top. Trainer Juliana Blandi Goncalves has Leandro Goncalves up, keeping this a tight barn operation, and the horse's 17% career win rate is consistent with a competitive claimer who hits the board regularly. Use Twelve Volt underneath Tis Charming in exactas and trifectas.
Hollywood Icon is the wildcard here — a 40% career win rate is the best in the entire field, and that kind of historical hit rate in a claiming race demands respect at 9/2. Jockey Belen Quinonez rides for trainer Jesse Sauceda, and while the TrackWiz rating of 74.9 puts this horse third in the race, that 40% career number suggests a horse that knows how to get to the wire. At 9/2, there's legitimate show value here, and exotic players should consider including Hollywood Icon in trifecta combinations.
Race 2
Starter Allowance · 7 fur · Dirt
A seven-furlong starter allowance that looks like a two-horse race on paper, with an Asmussen-trained morning-line favorite towering over the field in the ratings — though a sneaky 40% winner lurking at 6/1 could complicate the exacta.
Get Her Number is the class of this field by a wide margin — an 88.54 TrackWiz rating is the highest mark of any horse on today's entire card, and that number alone makes this a horse you build your ticket around. Going postward at 2/1 with trainer Steven Asmussen and jockey Erik Asmussen, this is a polished connections package that fires at a high clip. A 25% career win rate at 2/1 odds is respectable, and the average speed figure of 55 leads the contenders. If there's a single-race best bet on the card, this is it.
Cant Stop Munnings has the second-best rating in the race at 66.44 and brings a 33% career win rate that signals a horse with real ability at this level. The Asmussen barn also conditions this one, though Stewart Elliott takes the mount — a capable rider who knows how to navigate seven furlongs on Remington's dirt. Morning line of 5/2 is fair for a horse that should be fighting for the exacta spot behind Get Her Number.
Jolly Samurai at 5/1 offers a bit of price for a horse trained by Justin R. Evans who carries a 20% career win rate — solid credentials at this level. The 57.17 rating places this horse comfortably third in the field, and Floyd Wethey Jr. takes the mount for what should be a stalker's trip over seven furlongs. If the pace gets heated up front, Jolly Samurai could be picking up pieces late and is a worthwhile inclusion in trifecta keys.
Race 3
Claiming · 1 mi · Dirt
Steven Asmussen drops a well-rated horse into a claiming mile with a morning-line edge, but the top-rated horse in the field goes postward at 5/2 — making this a competitive two-horse top of the ticket with some serious falloff after that.
Pass the Roses tops our TrackWiz ratings at 87.81 and comes in as the 5/2 morning-line second choice — which means the market respects this horse even if it's not the outright favorite. Trainer Steven Asmussen and jockey Erik Asmussen form the same in-barn combo that has been dangerous all card, and an average speed figure of 54 ties for the top of the field. A 12% career win rate is modest, but in a claiming field with ratings dropping sharply after the top two, this horse has the class to control the outcome.
Jamesons Chalk is the morning-line favorite at 3/1 and carries a TrackWiz rating of 80.81 — second only to Pass the Roses in this field. Jockey Belen Quinonez rides for trainer Edward Ross Hardy, and the average speed figure of 54 matches the top horses in the race. The 6% career win rate is worth noting, but a horse going postward as the chalk in a claiming race has earned its morning-line position, and Jamesons Chalk figures to be competitive on the front end.
Leavenodoubt at 9/2 rounds out the ticket as a third option worth including in exotics. The rating of 55.45 falls behind the top two but sits well clear of the rest of the field, and a 6% career win rate reflects a horse that's been competitive without breaking through consistently. Trainer Steve Martin sends this one out with Ezequiel Lara aboard, and at the mile distance on dirt, there's enough of a price to justify a show slot or a trifecta inclusion.
Our three free races today span a mile of dirt action and give us a solid feel for what the track is doing early. Tis Charming opens the card in a claiming mile at 7/2 on the morning line — a price we think is slightly generous given the TrackWiz rating of 86.35. From there, Get Her Number draws our eye in Race 2, a 7-furlong starter allowance where the 2/1 morning line reflects genuine ability and a TrackWiz score of 88.54 that leads the free portion of the card. Pass the Roses rounds out the free trio in Race 3 — another claiming mile — sitting at 5/2 with an 87.81 rating that makes her a legit top choice.
Watch how the early dirt races play out pace-wise. A mile twice in the first three races should give us a clear read on whether closers are getting home or if the front-runners are holding form — that information is gold heading into the back half of the card.
