Trained by Annette M. Eubanks and ridden by Jose E. Vargas, she carries a 9% career win rate and an average speed figure of 52 that matches the field median. The key story here is that she rates higher than the 4/5 morning-line favorite Tipmanee, making this a genuine overlay worth attacking in win pools.
Ready for Magic checks in with a 81.79 TrackWiz rating and is handled by Tais Lyapustina for trainer Somraj Singh. At 3/1 on the morning line, she's a fair price and her profile suggests a horse capable of running big on this Laurel dirt surface. With a 3% career win rate, she may not have dominated, but our ratings suggest she's set up for a strong effort here — a strong place candidate in a race where the two top-rated horses should both have their noses in front.
Tipmanee is the public's choice at 4/5, carrying a 12% career win rate — the second-best in the field. Saxton is our top selection here, earning an 87.08 TrackWiz rating while carrying a 25% career win rate — that's a horse who knows how to get to the wire first. The Sheldon Russell/Brittany T. Russell barn combination is always one to respect on the Laurel turf, and Saxton's average speed figure of 56 is competitive in this group. At 3/1 on the morning line, there's real value here against a field that includes a 2/1 favorite (Isivunguvungu) rated a full 30 points below him.
Where's Ray brings the standout career win percentage in this field at 29% — nearly one in three career starts results in a win, which is elite.
