Happy July 4th week, Horseshoe Indy fans. We've got a full 10-race card to kick off the holiday stretch, and the weather is not messing around — clear skies and 91°F means the Horseshoe dirt should be lightning fast and the turf will be firm underfoot. Both factors matter today with a mixed card that splits almost evenly between dirt sprints, route races, and a pair of turf miles.

The card has some real teeth to it. You've got maiden claimers to open things up, a stakes race in Race 9 that features the ultra-short 400-yard format — pure quarter horse speed on display — and a couple of allowance turf routes where pace scenarios get genuinely interesting. There's something for every kind of bettor today, from single-race win players to multi-race sequence hunters.
