In a maiden field where every horse is still looking for their first win, that kind of rating separation is hard to ignore. The 5/2 morning line is fair and leaves a little meat on the bone. This is our top choice to break the maiden at 6.5 furlongs on the Charles Town dirt.
Jaker is the even-money morning-line favorite and posts a strong 77.26 rating, second in this field, with an average speed figure of 53 — the best in the race. Trainer Anthony Farrior and jockey J.D. Acosta team up here, and Acosta is a sharp stick at this track. The pace scenario could set up perfectly if Jaker stalks an early pace duel and pounces late.
Gonna Make It is a sneaky include at 7/2 with a 50.91 rating that puts it ahead of the bottom half of this field. Trainer Benjamin M. Feliciano, Jr. keeps horses competitive in these maiden conditions, and Yomar Orlando Ortiz is a capable hand in the irons. In a race where the top two might draw off, a honest effort from this one should be good enough to hit the board.

Allowance · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt
An allowance sprint with a clear class standout at the top, but the morning line hides some interesting horses underneath — including a 6/1 shot with a legitimate rating that could disrupt the exacta order.
My Sweets is the standout here with an 89.12 TrackWiz rating — easily the highest in this allowance field — and backs it up with a career win rate of 33%, which tells you this horse knows how to finish the job. Jockey Jahnxander Raspaldo gets the mount for trainer Christopher L. Kolb, and the 8/5 morning line reflects the public's confidence. At 6.5 furlongs on the dirt, My Sweets projects as the one to catch.
Belle Cause at 6/1 holds the second-highest rating in the field at 69.85, and that's with a 10% career win rate that may undersell the talent level. Trainer Kristy Gazzier sends this one out with Victor Rodriguez up, and the value angle here is real — if My Sweets gets caught up in any pace trouble, Belle Cause has the rating to capitalize. A legitimate place contender at a price.
Ain't No Angel brings a 33% career win rate to the table — matching My Sweets for the top mark in this field in that category — and gets Jose Montano in the irons at 4/1. The 58.43 rating trails the top two but still represents legitimate allowance form. This horse has the competitive résumé to secure a piece, especially if the pace sets up for closers.

Allowance Optional Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt
The allowance optional claiming conditions invite some class diversity, and the top-rated horse carries a 32% career win rate that screams 'this one fires a lot' — but two rivals with serious ratings make this far from a gimme.
Runaldo tops the field with an 87.81 TrackWiz rating and pairs that with a 32% career win rate and an average speed figure of 54 — the highest in this field. Trainer Jeff C. Runco is a perennial leader at Charles Town, and putting Arnaldo Bocachica aboard signals this barn is serious. At 5/2 on the morning line, Runaldo is fairly priced and looks like the class of the field.
Judgement Day sits second only to Runaldo with a 71.61 rating, and matches the top choice's 54 average speed figure — meaning this horse has the raw ability to keep up through the fractions. The 26% career win rate is respectable, and Larry C. Reynolds knows this track well for trainer Timothy C. Grams. At 4/1, there's solid value if Judgement Day can track Runaldo and pounce.
Social Chic is the second Runco entry in this race, carrying a 67.56 rating and an impressive 30% career win rate that makes the 9/2 morning line feel fair. Jahnxander Raspaldo, who rides for Runco's barn regularly, gets the call here. Two live Runco horses in the same race means one of them could be the hold-back — either way, Social Chic has the form to land on the board.
