Happy Halloween from Century Downs, where the only things scarier than the costumes are some of these morning lines. It's a cool, partly cloudy 44°F in Calgary today — jacket weather at the rail — and the dirt surface should be running consistent with good footing throughout the card. Nine races, all on dirt, ranging from 6½ furlongs to 7½ furlongs. A tidy, focused card that rewards sharp pace reading.
The card is heavily weighted toward claiming races, which means class drops, horse trading, and spot plays galore. TrackWiz analysis identified several spots where the morning line looks out of step with recent form — and a couple of spots where the public may chase the wrong horse. Keep your eyes open today.

Claiming · 6 1/2 fur · Dirt
The morning line favorites don't tell the whole story here — TrackWiz ratings flip the script, with the 9/2 shot sitting atop the rankings in a tight five-horse claiming sprint at 6 1/2 furlongs.
She's a Rowski (#4) owns the highest TrackWiz rating in the field at 84.9, and that gap over her rivals is meaningful in a short claiming field. Trainer Seymour Biggs also saddles Porter's Princess in this spot, giving him two bites at the apple — but it's clearly She's a Rowski who profiles as the stable's better entry. At 9/2 on the morning line, there's genuine overlay potential if the crowd loads up on the 9/5 and 2/1 prices. Jockey Orlando Foster gets the call and this is a horse worth putting on top of your exotics.
El Bonita Cara (#5) checks in with a 78.17 rating and a 12% career win clip, solid numbers for this level. Trainer Rodney J. Cone also has Devas Charm in the race, but El Bonita Cara's slightly higher speed average of 53 gives her the edge between the stable's two entries. At 5/2, she's a fair price for a horse who should be competitive deep into the stretch.
Devas Charm (#2) is the 2/1 morning line choice, and while our analysis slots her third, that favorite's price will likely compress further at the windows. Her 74.61 rating is legitimate in this spot, and with trainer Rodney J. Cone sending out two horses, she has tactical options. Use her in exactas and trifectas as a safe underneath piece.
