Canterbury Park Picks & Predictions — June 4, 2026
Canterbury Park rolls out a seven-race Thursday card under cloudy skies and a comfortable 77°F — conditions that should keep the turf firm and the dirt playing honest. No weather excuses today; it comes down to pure horse, pure form.
The card is a nice blend of surfaces, with three turf routes, two dirt sprints, and a pair of dirt routes giving handicappers plenty of angles to work. Three races clock in at a mile on the lawn, so pace scenario and ground-saving trips are going to be recurring themes all afternoon.
Our TrackWiz models have combed through every starter in the field and we like what we see across the board — a few solid chalk plays backed by strong ratings, and at least one premium value play that casual bettors might overlook entirely.

Race 1
Claiming · 6 fur · Dirt
The morning line favorite gets blown out of the water by TrackWiz ratings in this 6-furlong dirt claimer — Bavaria Road looks like a massive overlay at 6/1 against a field where the top-rated horse is anything but the public's choice.
Bavaria Road is the standout on TrackWiz ratings with an 82.71 — that's a significant gap over the rest of the field. The 14% career win rate is respectable in a claiming field, and the 6/1 morning line makes this one of the better values on the card today. Trainer Coty W. Rosin has Eduardo Gallardo in the irons, and if Bavaria Road fires her best effort, she should be tough to run down in the lane.
Superstar Swank brings a field-best 20% career win percentage into this spot, which is hard to ignore in a five-horse field. Trainer McLean Robertson already has the morning line favorite (Crew Dragon) in this race, so the barn clearly likes their chances here — and Swank at 7/2 may be the smarter ticket of the two. An average speed figure of 54 gives her the raw ability to hit the board.
R N R Audible is the 2/1 morning line choice and draws plenty of public support, but our ratings peg her third in the field at 57.75. The 15% career win rate under trainer Tim P. Padilla is solid enough to keep her in the exotic mix, and she's a logical show horse if the top two come through. Use her underneath to cover your bases.
Race 2
Allowance Optional Claiming · 1 mi · Turf
A one-mile turf allowance optional claimer with a clear TrackWiz standout — Dutton Street Girl owns a massive ratings edge, but Chamaville's 29% career win rate adds a real secondary threat in what could be a pace-honest mile.
Dutton Street Girl tops the TrackWiz ratings at 89.12 — the highest mark in the field by a wide margin — and comes in as the 8/5 morning line choice, meaning the crowd agrees. Trainer Jose Silva Jr. sends Manuel Americano up, a combination that looks tough on turf. The 15% career win rate doesn't jump off the page, but the overall profile and rating suggest she's a class above on this surface.
Chamaville is the most intriguing secondary play in the race, sporting a 29% career win percentage — the best in the field and a genuinely elite number at any level. Trainer Martin Escobar puts Eduardo Gallardo up at 9/2, and if Dutton Street Girl hits any trouble on this one-mile turf course, Chamaville has the winning pedigree to capitalize. The rating of 71.64 supports her as a legitimate place contender.
Rebel Gal opens at 5/1 and checks in third on TrackWiz ratings at 66.09, which makes her a reasonable show play in a five-horse field. The 14% career win rate under trainer Bennie L. Woolley Jr. is fair, and Alonso Quinonez is a capable handler on the turf. She's a nice hedge in exacta and trifecta combinations if you're trying to maximize value.
Race 3
Starter Optional Claiming · 1 mi · Dirt
One horse dominates this one-mile dirt starter optional claimer on paper — Mr. Who has a commanding TrackWiz edge — but Prince Rama's 27% career win rate makes the exacta landscape genuinely interesting.
Mr. Who is the clear top pick here with a TrackWiz rating of 89.42 — the highest in the field — and backs it up with a 23% career win rate and the field's top average speed figure of 55. Trainer Jose Silva Jr. and jockey Manuel Americano have been a productive combination at this meet, and going a flat mile on dirt fits a horse with these numbers. At 7/5, he's a deserving favorite, though the short price means you'll want to get creative in the exotics.
Cobblestone Bridge at 5/2 has a TrackWiz rating of 70.64 and brings an 18% career win rate to the table, solid credentials for a place bet. Trainer Santiago Tranquilino runs two horses in this race — Scottish Storm is also in here — and when a barn doubles up, the stronger of the two often runs a big effort. Eduardo Gallardo rides, and this one has the profile of a horse that will grind out a place finish even if Mr. Who goes wire-to-wire.
Prince Rama is the third option here at 3/1, and his 27% career win rate is the best in the entire field — that's a number you can't dismiss. The TrackWiz rating of 70.25 is nearly identical to Cobblestone Bridge's, and trainer Tony Rengstorf has Alonso Quinonez in the irons. If the pace sets up for a closer, Prince Rama is the most likely beneficiary. Slot him in your trifectas.
The first three races are open to all TrackWiz readers, and they cover a nice spread of race types to get your day started. Bavaria Road opens the card at 6/1 on the morning line in a six-furlong dirt claiming race — that's legitimate overlay territory if he breaks clean, and our model rates him at 82.71. Then the card pivots to the turf for Race 2, where Dutton Street Girl comes in as the 8/5 morning line favorite in the allowance optional claiming mile and earns a strong 89.12 TrackWiz rating. Don't fade short-priced turf favorites when the grass is playing fair — and today, it should be.
Race 3 keeps us at a mile on the dirt, a starter optional claiming event where Mr. Who tops our board with an 89.42 rating and comes in at 7/5. Three straight races, three legitimate top picks with clear separation from their fields — a tidy foundation for a multi-race sequence if you're building a Pick 3 ticket off the jump.
