Parx Racing is serving up one of its biggest cards of the fall meet — 15 races, all on dirt, with a pleasant partly-cloudy afternoon and temperatures sitting right around 68°F. The real headline today is the stakes-heavy back half of the card. Olympic Dreamer is the stable-mate angle to watch from the Guadalupe Preciado barn, posting a TrackWiz rating of 74.29 — the second-best mark in the field and a clear notch above the rest of the pack. Frankie Pennington gets the call, and with an average speed figure of 53, there's enough raw ability here to threaten for a piece at a very fair 6/1 morning line.
Turning to Gold (No. 2) sits third in the TrackWiz ratings at 53.33 and puts up an average speed figure of 54 for trainer Marya K. Montoya. The 5/1 price is workable for exotic players looking to round out trifecta tickets, and Francisco Martinez gives this one a capable pilot in a race where the bottom half of the field looks vulnerable.

The average speed figure of 54 is right in the mix, and trainer Guadalupe Preciado clearly has this horse ready. At 9/2 on the morning line, there's a slight overlay opportunity here given the overall profile.
Nogradi is the one horse in this field with a legitimate argument against the top selection, posting a 40% career win rate — highest in the race — and a TrackWiz rating of 82.79. Martin Chuan pilots for trainer Keri Brion, and at 4/1, the price reflects the talent. If Freakazoid gets into a pace battle early, Nogradi has the profile to capitalize.
Compatriot brings a 33% career win rate and the third-highest TrackWiz rating (74.59) to the table for trainer Michael Stidham, with Paco Lopez taking the mount. The average speed of 56 is the best in the field, which is a notable advantage in a route race where late punch matters. At 5/1, this one fits comfortably as the third wheel in exacta and trifecta plays.

A sprawling 14-horse maiden field creates chaos in the pace scenario, but one runner stands well above the crowd on the TrackWiz model — with a potential longshot price worth noting underneath.

Javier Castellano — a Hall of Fame rider — rarely takes throwaway mounts, and that 55 average speed figure gives this one legitimate competitive footing. McCoy draws Jose L. Ortiz for trainer Cherie DeVaux at 9/2 and sits in the third tier of the TrackWiz ratings at 54.17. This is the kind of well-connected jockey-trainer combination that quietly shows up on the board in maiden races, and the 9/2 price makes McCoy a reasonable show hedge in a complex field.

Horses that can secure good position early without burning out should be rewarded by the time they hit the top of the lane.
